Floating Through Space

One of my favorite photographs in my collection. The depth and contrast between the divers capture the awe I felt in this extraordinary environment. Surrounded by crystal-clear, electric blue water and dark tectonic plates, I felt like I was floating through space.

MORRISON SPRINGS Above & below ADVENTURE IMAGERY 03 Freshwater spring, above and below - Morrison Springs, Florida, USA This half-above and half-below shot shows how fine the line is between our perspectives of the world. A slight angle shift in either direction completely alters your view from land to below the surface. The clear water of Florida’s underground aquifer system is beautiful beyond words! Many of Florida’s springs reveal groundwater flowing through openings in the limestone below our feet. Here at Morrison Springs, a pool roughly 250 feet across releases an estimated 48 million gallons of water each day. Beneath this peaceful forest setting, an extraordinary amount of water is always on the move. These spring-fed waters sustain fish, turtles, and aquatic plants, while the surrounding forest provides habitat for birds and other wildlife, connecting the underwater world with the life along its banks.

A living room holds so much of our everyday life: quiet mornings, evenings together, and conversations with friends and family. The art we choose makes that space feel like our own. Trolltunga’s dramatic rock overhang above a Norwegian mountain lake, a spotted ray resting on sand in Egypt, and a lively reef in Okinawa, Japan bring a love of discovery into the room. Together, they offer peaceful distance and vivid detail, inviting guests to share travel stories and giving us a beautiful view to come home to. ART IN EVERYDAY SPACES Lobby / Waiting Area ADVENTURE IMAGERY 19 West Coast sea to forest. A lobby is often our first impression of a place, and a few quiet moments there can set the tone for everything that follows. A garibaldi silhouetted beneath sunlit water at Catalina Island invites visitors to imagine the stillness below the surface. Beside it, a moss-covered fallen log draws the eye into a sunlit woodland. Together, these photographs offer a beautiful contrast of worlds from California’s forest and ocean environments, inviting viewers to recall a favorite dive, a walk in the woods, or simply a moment of peace and serenity before their appointment. A sunflower, delicate blossoms, and purple lupine bring the pleasure of a garden into an ordinary journey from one room to another. Their familiar shapes and changing colors can recall a favorite walk, a season, or a place we have loved. ART IN EVERYDAY SPACES Science Classroom ADVENTURE IMAGERY 22 Real animals. New questions. A science classroom is where an unexpected encounter can become a lasting interest. A sea turtle beside a colorful reef, a baby northern Pacific rattlesnake, and two nurse sharks over a sandy seabed invite students to look beyond familiar ideas about wildlife. The turtle and snake offer two very different views of reptiles, while the sharks open a conversation about life beneath the waves. Details of camouflage, body shape, and habitat turn a glance into a question, giving students and teachers real subjects to compare, discuss, and explore. ABOUT ME & CONTACT INFO Camera in hand, sunset ahead. I’m busy capturing the setting sun in Cozumel. Adventure, curiosity, and wonder have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in landlocked Colorado, I developed a fascination with wildlife and the underwater world, inspired by Jacques Cousteau and Steve Irwin. I began scuba diving in 2007 while serving in the United States Air Force, and what started with a disposable underwater camera grew into a lifelong passion for photography and exploration. Over my 20-year military career, I traveled the world, capturing wildlife, landscapes, and underwater encounters along the way. I've always felt that my camera has a better memory than I do, preserving the details of places and experiences that time gradually fades. After retiring from the Air Force, I created Adventure Imagery to give nearly two decades of photographs a lasting place beyond my archived hard drives. My hope is that these images inspire the same wonder, curiosity, and appreciation for our extraordinary planet that I felt capturing them. Explore the wonders beneath the surface and across the landscapes of Adventure Imagery. Explore the world. Live the adventure. Remember the moment. Behind Adventure Imagery

Explore. Live. Remember.

I am an underwater and photography enthusiast who developed a fascination with the underwater world at an early age and began scuba diving in 2007. Armed with a disposable camera initially, I developed, refined, and sharpened my skills to document underwater scenes as I see them.

Over a 20-year Air Force career, diving and photography became part of how I experienced new destinations. Adventure Imagery brings those underwater encounters, landscapes, and wildlife photographs to life instead of collecting dust on a hard drive.

Human Touch Note

Every photograph in my collection comes from my own exploration and time behind the camera. Natural details, including suspended particles and occasional bubbles in underwater scenes, remain part of the environments I've photographed. None of my photographs have been touched by AI. Every fish, plant, coral reef, and piece of floating debris exists naturally in the world as I encountered it.
